An exclusive garment that combines retro sophistication with the preciousness of haute couture fabrics. This dress was made as a unique piece using a precious deadstock haute couture fabric. The cut is inspired by the classic vintage sarong cut. Draped wrap skirt, finished with a buttonhole and a ruffle that enhance femininity. The matching stole can be used in various ways or removed, leaving the straight-cut bodice free.
The cut of this dress has been very popular since the 1930s, during which the classic sarong (pareo) was transformed into a dress, from those made in Hawaii with splendid floral patterns to elegant ones with precious fabrics. Since then, this cut, although modified over time, has never left us.
Materials used: cotton blend brocade fabric. Inside, lined with a natural fabric composed of cotton and silk.
Technique: handmade paper pattern, hand-stitched zipper. Internal finishes with hand blind stitches.
Unique piece made in size 42: bust 90 cm; waist 72 cm; hips 100 cm. It is possible to order the Sarong Ma'o made to measure by choosing from other fabrics; in this case, once the order has been placed, contact the artisan for measurements and the choice of available fabrics. The garment is made remotely and does not require on-site fittings. Production time 1 month.
